Kanchanaburi (Central Thailand)

Kanchanaburi

After travelling for two days from central Laos to Central Thailand we checked into a guesthouse over looking the river Kwai.

We then spent a couple of heart wrenching days visiting the death railway and WWII memorials.

Bridge over the River Kwai and Death Railway.

A flower was placed for James at your request Mrs Burnett

Christmas has arrived in Kanchanaburi

(Hope there's one under there for me!)
So time for a celebratory drink in a few of the many bars.

But not on one of these river raft boats that are actually pubs and get towed down the river blaring some awful music!

But rather in one of these cool makeshift bars

Wouldn’t fancy trying to get out of them tiny chairs after a few!

Or this one that promises to get you drunk for 10 Baht (20p)

But we spent most of our nights in this one where we met some great friends

 Andy DJ’d for us

and after complaining the music wasn’t loud enough, the owner called for a sound technician to come and rig loads more speakers up for us!
Boss Lady. Top woman.

And so the party continued...

with on duty border police joining in

and let Andy play with his gun!!

Hammered!

Now we have seen some words, when pronounced in English make us giggle but had to get a photo of this one.

I looked a bit of a weirdo, sat in a restaurant taking a photo of a bottle of water but couldn't resist!

What are we actually drinking here???
Haha, only in Thailand
"love you long time"
